The Anycubic Kobra X, released March 2026, is a budget bed-slinger with a 260×260×260 mm build volume and the ACE Gen 2 system for 4-color multicolor printing. Also available as the Kobra X Combo with 7-color support via ACE 2 Pro, expandable to 19 colors with additional ACE 2 Pro units. Announced December 2025 with an Early Bird period through February 2026, it sits alongside — rather than replacing — the Kobra 3 V2, targeting the same entry-level multicolor market at $279 (standalone) to $449 (Combo).
At $279–299 with ACE Gen 2 included, the Kobra X is one of the most affordable ways to get into multicolor FDM printing.
A slightly larger cube-format build volume than the Kobra 3 V2's 255×255×260 mm bed — practical for most everyday prints.
The second-generation ACE Gen 2 offers improved filament switching reliability over the original ACE Pro, with support for up to 4 colors per print.
Budget-conscious makers who want multicolor printing at the lowest possible entry price and don't need a large build volume or premium features.
Both are budget multicolor bed-slingers at a similar price. The Kobra X is newer (2026) with the ACE Gen 2 system and a slightly larger 260×260×260 mm build volume. The Kobra 3 V2 has more user reviews and a known track record. If you want the latest hardware, go Kobra X. If you prefer proven reliability, the Kobra 3 V2 is the safer choice.
No — Anycubic positions the Kobra X as a distinct product alongside the Kobra 3 V2, not as its direct replacement. Both are available simultaneously.
Not reliably. The Kobra X is an open-frame bed-slinger. ABS and ASA are prone to warping without an enclosure. PLA, PETG, and TPU are the reliable choices.
