💡About the Creality Ender 3 V4

The Creality Ender 3 V4 is the successor to the V3 KE, debuted at Formnext 2025 and available from early 2026. It brings a die-cast aluminium gantry, dual-gear direct drive extruder, and CFS multicolor compatibility to the Ender 3 family. The Combo version includes CFS for 4-color filament switching — making multicolor accessible under $400.

  • Die-cast aluminium gantry

The V4's rigid frame reduces vibration at high speeds, improving print quality over the V3 KE's lighter structure.

  • CFS multicolor Combo

The Combo bundle includes Creality's CFS filament system for 4-color printing, expandable to 16 colors with additional CFS units — one of the most affordable multicolor setups available.

  • Successor to a proven platform

The Ender 3 family has the largest 3D printing community in the world, with extensive documentation, mods, and active Creality firmware updates.

🎯Who is this for?

Budget-conscious beginners who want CoreXY speed and optional multicolor printing in the trusted Ender 3 form factor — and are comfortable with a hands-on setup experience.

FAQs

Ender 3 V4 vs Bambu A1 Mini 2 — which should a beginner buy?

The Bambu A1 Mini 2 is significantly more beginner-friendly — automatic calibration, polished Bambu Studio software, and a more reliable multicolor system. The Ender 3 V4 Combo costs less and delivers the same 4-color capability, but requires more manual setup and runs a less mature ecosystem. For the easiest first experience, Bambu. For maximum budget efficiency and comfort with tinkering, the V4 Combo delivers.

Is the Ender 3 V4 a CoreXY printer?

Yes — the V4 continues the CoreXY motion introduced in the V3 KE, enabling 500 mm/s peak print speed. The die-cast aluminium gantry improves rigidity over previous Ender 3 generations for better accuracy at higher speeds.

What materials can the Ender 3 V4 print?

The V4 handles PLA, PETG, and TPU reliably. Without an enclosure, ABS and ASA are not recommended — they warp on open-frame printers. For engineering materials, the Creality K1C (enclosed) is the natural step-up from the Ender 3 family.

Is the Ender 3 V4 Combo the only way to get multicolor?

The Combo is the most convenient path — it bundles the CFS with the printer. You can also buy the V4 standalone and add a CFS separately. A single CFS supports 4 colors; connecting up to 4 units enables 16-color printing.
