Key strengths
A cube-format build volume slightly larger than the Kobra 3 V2's 255×255×260 mm bed — practical for most everyday prints.
The Combo includes one ACE 2 Pro for 4-color printing. A second unit and an 8-color filament hub expand it to 8 colors.
LeviQ 3.0 probes 49 points and applies compensation automatically, with no manual adjustment required.
The Anycubic Kobra 4, shipping since June 2026, replaces the Kobra 3 V2 as Anycubic's mainstream bed-slinger. It has a 260×260×260 mm build volume, a 600 mm/s maximum speed, 49-point LeviQ 3.0 auto-leveling, and a hardened steel nozzle. The Combo bundles one ACE 2 Pro for 4-color printing, expandable to 8 colors with a second unit. It sits alongside the Kobra X, which uses a different, toolhead-integrated multicolor system.
Both are open-frame bed-slingers with a 260×260×260 mm build volume and a 600 mm/s rating. The Kobra 4 Combo uses an external ACE 2 Pro box for 4 colors (8 with a second unit). The Kobra X uses Anycubic's ACE Gen 2 system integrated at the toolhead. The two multicolor systems are not interchangeable, so choose based on which one you prefer and on current pricing.
The Kobra 4 moves from a 255×255×260 mm to a 260×260×260 mm build volume, switches the Combo from the ACE Pro to the ACE 2 Pro, and adds 49-point LeviQ 3.0 auto-leveling. Maximum speed stays at 600 mm/s. Anycubic does not offer an upgrade kit from the Kobra 3 V2.
The Bambu A1 Combo has a better software ecosystem (Bambu Studio), more reliable AMS filament switching, and stronger community support. The Kobra 4 Combo is typically cheaper and can expand to 8 colors. If software quality and ecosystem matter, Bambu. If budget is the priority and you're comfortable with a less mature system, the Kobra 4 Combo is a strong value.
Not reliably. The Kobra 4 is an open-frame bed-slinger, and ABS and ASA are prone to warping without an enclosure. PLA, PETG, and TPU are the reliable choices. If you need ABS or ASA regularly, consider an enclosed printer like the Creality K1C.
